Humberside Fire and Rescue Stations start on site

Posted by Dan Morgan Senior Architect

We’ve been working on two community-engaged fire stations for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service (as part of a multi-disciplinary team established by Mace). After receiving planning permission, we are now starting construction on site with a proposed completion date of October 2016.

The scheme in Hull city centre will be a 24-hour fully staffed station and in nearby Brough we’re designing a station facility which will be crewed by on-call firefighters.

Being part of the team has been a great experience. The two different sites encouraged a unique design for each station that will reflect the surrounding context whilst providing continued emergency services and support to the local communities.
