The Barn Student Accommodation, Exeter, designed and delivered by Jefferson Sheard Architects has opened on time and in budget for the start of the 2018-19 academic year.
Located in the heart of Exeter City Centre, the building, operated by Fresh Student Living, comprises of 150 bedrooms including studios and cluster flats. At ground floor, extensive communal facilities are provided including spaces for socialising and eating, cinema room and gym.
The building’s design references the historic architecture of the city via the vertical rhythm in the composition of the facade including projecting framed openings. Materials have been selected that are also reflective of the character of the area both in their application and colouring.
