Sarah Rogers

Architectural Assistant

After gaining my masters’ in architecture, I joined Jefferson Sheard Architects Peterborough Studio in late 2019. During my degree I developed a strong interest in community architecture, education and collaborative design methodologies, and spent a year working with local community groups as part of a research project. My thesis explored experimental forms of architectural communication, influenced by fine art practices, as an alternative route through the design process, and suggested how university courses and buildings could adapt to promote greater social inclusivity in architectural design. I have a strong interest in working with historic buildings, and my professional experience has included working on conservation, residential and commercial projects. I hope to develop my experience in these sectors as well as others with JSA. In my spare time I can usually be found doing something arty, meeting friends for (lots of) coffee, or trying out a new recipe.
