Earlham Grove
East Thames Group commissioned us to design a fifteen unit mixed-tenure scheme which would become its ‘flagship' for sustainable development, provoke and promote discussion within the Group and set an environmental benchmark for future projects.
By paying special attention to siting, landscaping, materials and the passive and active use of solar energy we have designed a scheme which achieves an EcoHomes Excellent' rating.
As well as being a model of environmental excellence, Earlham Grove is the result of an exemplary approach to the problems of a previously developed urban site - demolition and party wall issues; archaeology; planning and construction constraints, all carried out in full liaison and consultation with neighbours, stakeholders and statutory and advisory bodies.
