The ground floor provides nine consult rooms, nine treatment rooms, two consult training rooms, and generous office accommodation. All accessed from a central modern and inviting reception and waiting area. The first floor provides a further two consult rooms and two treatment rooms in addition to further office space and staff room. Staff only spaces have been treated with the same level of detail as patient facing areas, promoting well-being and a high quality working environment.
The overall aesthetic has been purposefully designed to move away from a ‘traditional’ clinical setting, using a neutral material palette, images of the local area with splashes of complementary colours through soft seating. Furniture has been carefully selected to move away from rows of ‘waiting room’ furniture but to provide furniture suitable for all. The team worked with community groups and staff to develop how they wanted ‘their’ health centre to look and feel.
