The new design enabled the school to go from a one form to a two form intake doubling the capacity whilst providing an environment suitable for modern teaching.
This full refit had to be completed within a tight programme to be ready within the six-week summer break. The proposed designs also ensured that the building was fully inclusive as the two sites previously struggled with accessibility issues, new platform lifts and a reorganisation of spaces ensured that every corner of the school could be accessed.
The building service systems within each school were fully replaced ensuring that the schools complied with current Building Regulations.
